The Tanzanian chart-topper, whose rollercoaster romance with actress Kajala Frida has kept East Africa gripped for a decade, confirmed on Thursday February 5, 2026, that he has gone down on one knee for the second time.

In an emotional announcement that has set social media ablaze, the singer declared he is "officially off the market," referring to Kajala as his "wife" and "life partner."

The proposal marks a dramatic u-turn for the couple, who only rekindled their relationship in December 2025 following a series of very public—and often bitter—separations.

Ghanaian YouTuber and content creator Wode Maya has shared a personal moment from his life, revealing that his wife, Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy, gave birth to their baby in the United States. Speaking openly, Maya said the decision was not an easy one both emotionally or financially. He testified to have spent a significant amount of money to ensure his wife had a safe and comfortable delivery.

Wode Maya explained that he chose to fly Miss Trudy abroad using a business class ticket so she could travel comfortably during her pregnancy. He said the move was purely about her health and peace of mind. However, the decision did not sit well with everyone. Maya revealed that some social media users criticised him, questioning why he would choose the US for childbirth while often speaking strongly about Pan-African values.

The death of Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene has taken a troubling turn after new details emerged from her home in Abuja. Days after her passing, a snake handler discovered three snakes around the house where she was bitten. Ifunanya died on January 31 after a snake bit her while she was asleep in her bedroom. Friends say she raised the alarm shortly after the bite and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Doctors administered anti-venom, but her condition worsened, and she sadly passed away.

Following her death, neighbours and close associates became concerned about the safety of the house. A professional snake handler was called in to inspect the property after her body was moved to the morgue. According to information shared by the chairperson of the Amumeso Choir, where Ifunanya was a member, the inspection revealed three snakes within and around the home. A medium-sized cobra was found inside her room. Another smaller snake was discovered near the doormat, while a third was located in a nearby compound.
