New motherhood comes with a lot of decisions and for content creator and model Hannah Benta one of hers has sparked conversation online. The Kenyan socialite has revealed that her infant son has his very own washing machine, a machine that no one else in the household is allowed to use.

Speaking about her approach to raising her newborn, Hannah explained that the machine is reserved exclusively for her baby's clothes. Her reasoning is simple. As a new mother, she wants to make sure that her son's clothing and linen are washed separately from adult garments to minimise any risk of contamination or exposure to bacteria that could affect his delicate skin.

"Haitumiwi na mtu mwingine," she reportedly stated, a Swahili phrase meaning "it is not used by anyone else." Short, firm and unapologetic.

While some social media users thought the move might be a little extreme, many parents, especially those with young babies, supported her decision. Separate washing for newborns is actually recommended by paediatricians and child health experts, as newborn skin is far more sensitive than adult skin and residues from adult clothes can sometimes trigger rashes or allergic reactions.

Hannah, who has been glowing in her new role as a mother, has been open about wanting the best for her son. The post, shared by the popular Nairobi Gossip Club page, quickly gathered over 24,000 likes and nearly 800 comments, showing that parenting choices, however personal, always spark online discussion.

Whether you see it as a smart hygiene decision or a luxurious baby perk, one thing is clear. Hannah Benta is approaching motherhood entirely on her own terms.
