Egyptian superstar Mohamed Ramadan has taken another major step in his international career after signing with William Morris Endeavor Agency for worldwide representation. The agreement covers all areas of his work and reflects his growing influence as one of the most recognizable entertainment figures from the Middle East.
Ramadan made history last year by becoming the first Egyptian artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, marking a breakthrough moment for Arab representation on one of the world’s biggest music stages. Based in Cairo, the 37 year old multitalented performer is widely celebrated as an actor, singer, rapper, and producer. His popularity is reflected in his massive digital presence, with more than 85 million followers across social media platforms, including over 34 million on Instagram.
In June 2020, Ramadan became the first Egyptian artist to receive the Diamond Creator Award from YouTube after surpassing 10 million subscribers. Since then, his videos have accumulated more than 6 billion views, further cementing his position as a leading digital entertainer in the Arab world.
In cinema, Ramadan continues to expand his portfolio. He is set to appear in the upcoming epic film “Lion,” inspired by the story of Spartacus and directed by Mohamed Diab, who previously worked on Marvel’s Moon Knight. His career began in Egyptian television and film with early projects such as The Cinderella and Scheherazade, Tell Me a Story. He later starred in popular films like Abdu Mota, The Treasure, and The Treasure 2.
On television, Ramadan strengthened his stardom through hit dramas including Ibn Halal, Al Ostoura, and Jaafar Al Omda. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 45 films and series, earning Egypt’s “Greatest Nationwide Talent” award three times and the prestigious Murex d’Or for Best Arab Actor. Legendary actor Omar Sharif once praised him as his artistic successor.
In music, Ramadan blends Arabic pop, hip hop, and Afro influenced sounds. His 2020 hit “Ya Habibi,” featuring Gims, topped charts in 15 countries. He has also collaborated with global stars such as Rema, Future, and French Montana. More recently, he released “Sah Sah” with Lara Trump, creating one of the most unusual cross cultural collaborations in recent pop music.
Highlighting his expanding global reach, Ramadan is scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden, becoming the first Arab artist to headline the iconic venue. He is managed by Liil Serge, Founder and CEO of LSM Prod.
