Kenyan gospel artist Bahati enrolled at East African University in September 2025 for a Bachelor's Degree in Business to pursue his long-held dream of furthering his education, a decision that garnered media attention and highlighted the importance of education for him. This was a personal goal he had wanted to achieve for a long time, with the artist stating, "education is very important".
 
Bahati completed his secondary school education, receiving a C+ grade in his KCSE exam in 2011 from St Theresa's Boys' High School.He also attended Nakeel Boys' High School in Rongai for his secondary education.
 
In a video that quickly went viral, Bahati arrived at the institution in a convoy of three vehicles, led by his wife Diana Marua's signature pink G-Wagon Brabus.The grand entrance drew excitement among students and lecturers, who welcomed him warmly.
 
Bahati, who already holds a diploma in computer science, said this will be his first degree. He revealed that pursuing university education had long been a dream, but financial struggles in his early life made it impossible."This is something I have always wanted to do," he shared, adding that he is grateful to finally be in a position to join university.
 
The artist has been officially admitted and is preparing to begin this new academic chapter.Away from academics, Bahati has remained in the headlines in recent weeks.He recently shared CCTV footage showing unidentified men attempting to break into his compound, prompting him to call for more security for his family and neighbours.
 
His wife, Diana Marua, has also been in the spotlight following her return to music. She released a new track, Bibi ya Tajiri, which samples E-sir's hit Saree.The release sparked mixed reactions from fans and criticism from fellow artists over the sampling.
 
Bahati and Diana, who are known for openly sharing their love journey, first met in 2017 when Bahati was searching for a video model.Their friendship grew into a relationship, and the couple tied the knot in 2018. Since then, they have remained a high-profile pair in Kenya's entertainment scene.
