Nigerian global music star Burna Boy has made a compassionate and generous offer to cover the full funeral costs for all four victims of the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Stockton, California, on Saturday, November 29, 2025. The announcement was made by the artist’s management team on Monday, December 1, 2025, in a gesture intended to provide immediate financial relief to the grieving families.

The Incident unfolded late Saturday night at an unauthorized music event held in a warehouse district near the city’s downtown area. An estimated 300 people were attending the event when a dispute escalated into gunfire. Authorities confirmed that four people were killed and several others were injured, making it one of the deadliest single incidents of gun violence in the city’s history. The victims were identified as three men and one woman, all residents of the Stockton area. Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident and seeking multiple suspects.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, was particularly moved by the tragedy, as the music event that turned deadly was reportedly organized to celebrate African and Caribbean culture. His offer aims to lighten the financial burden on the victims’ families during an unimaginable time of loss.

“The senseless loss of life in Stockton has deeply affected Burna Boy and his entire team,” read a statement from his management. “He wants to ensure that the families of those lost can focus entirely on mourning their loved ones without the added stress of funeral expenses. His thoughts and prayers are with the Stockton community.”

Burna Boy has often used his platform and financial resources to support communities facing hardship, particularly in relation to violence and injustice. His decision to step forward in this case has been met with praise from local community leaders and victims’ advocates, who noted the positive impact of such a substantial donation from a high-profile figure.

The artist’s team is now working directly with the Stockton Police Department and community liaisons to establish contact with the victims’ families and facilitate the transfer of funds necessary to cover the funeral and burial expenses for all four individuals.
