Kenyans Blast Bahati For Posting Screenshot Of Shalkido Begging for A Collabo And He Ignored.
Kenyans online have heavily criticized singer Bahati after he shared a screenshot showing the late Gengetone artist Shalkido asking him for a musical collaboration. The post which surfaced shortly after Shalkido's death has angered many fans who accused Bahati of being insensitive and seeking attention.
According to reactions on social media, Kenyans felt that Bahati should not have made the private message public especially now that Shalkido is no longer alive to defend himself. Some users said the post was unnecessary and only served to highlight how established artists ignore upcoming talents until tragedy strikes.
Others argued that Bahati's move exposed a painful reality in the Kenyan music industry where young artists struggle to get recognition or support from mainstream musicians. They urged celebrities to uplift rising talents instead of overlooking them when they seek mentorship or collaboration.
Bahati has not responded to the criticism but the post has since gone viral drawing thousands of comments from fans and fellow artists. Shalkido who was part of the famous Sailors Gang before the group split was known for his creativity and energy in the Gengetone scene.
His sudden death shocked many in the entertainment industry and reignited conversations about unity and empathy among musicians. Fans continue to mourn his passing while calling for more compassion in the industry.
Netizens were very angry at Bahati, that they even responded badly to him asking him why he posted it and yet he didn't even bother to show concern of even responding to him.
